WARNING: When Leisure Arts re-created this chart they superimposed the over-two sections with the generalized placement lines over the over-one sections. Because of this back-stitch lines now appear on this chart that were not on the original over-one sections. Please be extra careful when reading the back-stitch instructions and always double check it against the model picture in the book. The ones I've found so far are listed below.

There are no back-stitch lines around the eye brows of Arthur or Guinevere.

The stair step pattern on both sides of the twisted vine border have been covered over.

There are no back-stitch lines on the inside of the jousting scene border.

(Thread Substitutions) Original number listed on kit chart: 388 med. ecru #12 Anchor Pearl Cotton. Substitution listed in best of book: 712 cream #12 DMC Pearl Cotton.


Using one strand each of 422 and 3828, backstitch line (located inside the innermost rows of the four-sided stitches) going from the bottom of the jousting scene to the point above the corner motif with ornamental lines, then wrap backstitch using one strand of 611.

There are misaligned and covered (over 1) symbols at the base of the neck.

The squares below both ears are in error with missing (over 1) symbols.

The backstitch line on the left shoulder is missing and should be 3032 mocha, med.

The blue squares on the cloak/collar are open (no thread).
As verified by the designer Teresa Wentzler.
It is the individuals preference if they wish to fill it in with a color.

There are covered (over 1) symbols at the base of the neck.
The blue of the medallion backstitched with 930 antique blue, dk. should be stitched on the inside as well as the outside.
The blue hair-bands were mislabeled at the very bottom of the picture and should be backstitched with 930 antique blue, dk.

The eyebrows on the left and right sides are in error with missing (over 1) symbols.
Also there is no backstitching around the eyebrows.

The backstitching on the hair, shown in green, is an over extension of the line and should not be stitched.

The backstitching for the nose is off by one square and should be increased by one stitch.

Celtic Knot (aka Corner Motif w/ornamental lines)

The Upper left corner celtic knot has symbol errors and, in fact, should be a mirror reflection of the upper right corner celtic knot. Above is the correct image. Discovered by - June2517 ( June )   Feb. 5, 2002.

It is my personal opinion that the upper left-hand corner celtic knot and the bottom corner celtic knot chart patterns have been swapped around. The Webmistress - Jan J.   Feb. 5, 2002.

The missing over-one symbols shown in blue are "X" 422 hazelnut, Lt. and " • " 3362 pine green, dk.

An erroneously placed backstitch line was found under the right knight's horses neck.

The (over 1) shadow under the right knight's horse is missing. Discovered by - LMShaf ( Laura ) on April 3, 2002. Two missing symbols from the bottom of the far right hoof (shown in green) and the symbol change in the horse's shadow from the kit to the book. Discovered by - n2stitch ( Lalita )   Aug. 3, 2006.

The (over 1) geometeric pattern on the tent is misaligned in several places. For clarity the backstitch corrections are shown in blue. The (over 1) backstitch line across the top opening of the tent is missing. Misaligned stitch removed (yellow square) for backstitch corrections.
